The approximate population of the city of Santa Cruz is 65,000. Home to the beautiful campus of UCSC, there is a vibrant and young downtown. Santa Cruz is also home to the famous Beach Boardwalk and the world class surf spot, Steamers Lane. The Seabright area has many charming neighborhoods and beautiful beaches and easy access to the Santa Cruz Harbor. The West Side of Santa Cruz is developing into a lively beer and wine tasting scene! West Cliff drive offers a lovely walk along the cliffs with a full view of the Pacific Ocean, sea otters, seals, dolphins and occasional whales.
